The inbounder is often the most ignored player on the floor after the ball is released. “Houdini” weaponizes human psychology when a loud, dangerous action (the Elevator) happens in the middle of the floor, defenders instinctively turn their heads. That split-second of ball-watching is all it takes to make the inbounder disappear and reappear at the rim.
