This is a “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing.” It looks like a corner 3 play, but it finishes as a deep paint seal. You are not freeing the shooter. You are using the shooter to free the screener. 

FINAL THOUGHT

This play doesn’t create separation. It creates misdirection. The defense follows the shooter.
 The score happens behind them. You are punishing the defense for communicating and trying to defend a perimeter screen. Their discipline becomes their downfall.

This action turns your best shooter into your best screener simply by using their gravity.  You are punishing the defense for being terrified of the three-point line by destroying them at the rim.
